Melinda Holm-Peterson has over 18 years of experience in recruiting for marketing and advertising positions. She attended college at the University of Virginia receiving a BA in Communications. She’s always had an interest in marketing and advertising, working as a local TV camerawoman and DJ during her college years. After graduating in 1986 she moved to New York, working on client-side direct-marketing.
New York provided her with four years of direct response media and project management experience. In 1990, Melinda moved to Chicago and joined Eicoff as a media buyer/planner. After, she joined Ad Pros/Ad Temps recruitment firm and found her passion. While at Ad Pros/Ad Temps, she established herself by attaining top billings for four consecutive years. As a result, she was promoted Vice President and Sales Manager, overseeing a team of recruiters and support staff.
Finally, in 1999, Melinda launched Melinda Holm & Associates, but not before taking a 5-month bicycle ride! She hitched a trailer to the back of her bike and trekked cross-country before returning home. Now, she is a proud mother and wife residing in Forest Park, Il.
In 2016, Melinda made a big change in her life and career – she stepped away from the day to day activity at Melinda Holm & Associates and stepped fully into the role of CEO. This has allowed her to concentrate on the future of Melinda Holm and Associates and create a strategic growth path for the company. This role has also provided her the time to attend industry conferences and events both locally and nationwide, as well as volunteer. Melinda is on the auxiliary board of Housing Forward and a volunteer coach for Girls on the Run. She is also a library volunteer for her son’s school. Melinda is a member of the BMA, the AMA, the IHAF and has enjoyed traveling to Orlando and Boston to interact with industry leaders.
Melinda has been known for her outgoing personality, enthusiasm, and sense of humor. She motivates her team to stay hungry, tireless and dedicated to providing exceptional service to employers and candidates. PEOPLE and RELATIONSHIP are her FOCUS.

Lisa Casper started her career at DraftFCB in account management and she moved her way up to the Account Director level at other agencies. Having been in the trenches of high-level integrated advertising and digital marketing teams, Lisa brings a solid understanding of the industry, which has helped her to fill positions on difficult searches.
Lisa has over 20 years of experience in advertising, marketing, and recruiting. She has helped her clients build high-level teams with very specialized skill sets. Recent placements include Global VP of Digital Marketing; Sr. Director of Content & Production ; Executive Vice President, Shopper Marketing; Senior Manager Marketing Communication; EVP- Head of Strategy; Senior Director, eCommerce; Senior Director, Planning + Strategy and Associate Creative Director, Writer, Senior Account Director just to name a few. After 16 years with Melinda Holm & Associates, Lisa leads account service and marketing as Senior Vice President/Managing Director.
Lisa truly partners with her client and goes beyond the written contract. She has routinely provided value-added services such as writing job descriptions, developing compensation packages, developing new positions based on anticipated company growth and industry trends, revising resumes, and even helping candidates to find housing.
Jenny started her career path in the advertising world while still in college. After spending her summers interning at Leo Burnett, she knew that marketing and advertising was the right field for her. Upon graduating from the University of Dayton, she spent a short time at Burnett before deciding to give the recruitment thing a try and has never looked back since.
Jenny has over 16 years of recruitment experience. She worked at a recruitment firm specializing in advertising and marketing until 2002 when she left to stay home with her young children. Fast forward to 2012 and with 4 kids in school full-time, Jenny wanted to get back into the business world and couldn’t have found a better fit than she did at Melinda Holm & Associates. Jenny was hired on as a Senior Recruiter and quickly worked her way up the ranks to become a Vice President, Managing Director.
Jenny loves that every day is different, as well as every client and every candidate. Jenny listens to her candidates and clients and provides them with an honest and realistic picture of the opportunity while guiding them throughout the entire employment process. She partners with her clients to find the right candidates and partners with her candidates to find the right clients, working to distinguish the right balance of client and candidate needs to ensure that everyone is getting what they want.
Dena Gellmann initially joined Melinda Holm & Associates as a Senior Recruiter and has since been promoted to Recruiting Director. Dena comes with close to 20 years of recruitment experience! Her start came with the experience she earned with Melinda and Lisa at Ad Temps. Working remotely from Denver, CO, Dena has joined to help grow the public relations sector of MHA nationwide as well as assist with recruitment efforts for all clients across the US. She is looking forward to helping build business in Denver and on the West Coast as well.
Most recently, Dena spent almost 10 years as Director of Recruitment for Burson-Marsteller, one of the top 5 global Public Relations and Integrated Agencies. While there, she led recruitment efforts for all US offices and specialized in placing all levels within public relations to include Corporate/Financial, Consumer/Brand Marketing, Healthcare PR, Technology PR, Public Affairs & Crisis as well as Digital & Social Media. Dena has a passion for diversity and inclusion and was also responsible for helping to create and execute Burson-Marsteller’s diversity and inclusion recruitment initiatives in the US.
Dena’s internal agency experience also includes working as Recruitment Director for GolinHarris as well as PR21 (Zeno Group).
Dena is excited about working with clients and building strong relationships to help place the best of the best for their particular needs. She loves finding the “purple squirrel” candidate for those tough to fill positions.
